The silent revolution in children's vitamins. Who makes the best children's vitamins?
A growing body of medicine indicates that the answer to your child’s health lies in a particular class of sugars, otherwise know
as polysaccharides, which fortify the immune system
There has always been some amount of controversy on the subject whether your child gets all the vitamins he or she needs from his
regular diet. Or whether you need to supplement that diet with children’s vitamins.
Expert opinion is now veering round to the fact that while a balanced regular diet can theoretically give your child all the
necessary vitamins, several factors operating in real life contribute to less than optimal children’s vitamins finally reaching your
child’s system. Simply put, your child needs a regular dose of children’s vitamins.
Now what are those factors that reduce the vitamin content in the child’s diet? One their eating habits. Children gobble up all
sort of junk food and end up eating a less balanced diet. Second, they often don’t chew their food well, reducing the nutrients absorbed by
the body. And then, there is the quality of the food that we eat. This has steadily declined over the years. Studies say the amount of
calcium in broccoli has fallen by a whopping 50 per cent, the iron content in watercress is down by a steep 88 per cent, vitamin C in
cauliflower has fallen by a huge 40 per cent... The only good food available is organically grown food.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) thinks your child may not need those extra vitamins because most of the daily foods they
eat are fortified. But it also recommends that a regular daily dose of children’s vitamins is not going to hurt unless it exceeds the daily
recommended dose.
The fact is you can never be sure your child is getting the right amount of vitamins. So why take chances? Start with food-based
vitamins.
Now let's look back on polysaccharides for a minute. What diseases do the polysaccharides treat? The answer is:
NONE. Their job is not to give space for disease to take root in the body! It's all about prevention!
A growing body of medical research is pointing to the importance of polysaccharides and the need. One of the best ways to
supplement polysaccharides is by a remarkable fruit berry called the Goji Berry (Ask Oprah about this!)
Goji berries, sometimes called Wolfberries, are perhaps the most nutritionally-rich fruit on the planet. Goji berries contain 18
kinds of amino acids (on par with bee pollen) and contain all 8 essential amino acids. But there's one problem with the Goji berry.
99% of the Goji products aren't "Cold Processed" therefore they lose effectiveness once their picked from the vine. Well this didn't
stop Dr Earl Mindell (author of "The Vitamin Bible") from finding a way to preserve the berry and it only took him 8 yrs! (I know, that's a
long time)
The end result is quite impressive and it's something you should read more about:
